From the One I Miss

February 12, 2013

Sitting on a bench

Outside Trinity Library

Pillars,Bars and the bustle

of Today, a Monday,

my last in this Town.

My Lover is sleeping,

10,000 miles away,

and I am watching her.

Her mouth slightly parted,

her hair lets an ear through-

the covers pulled halfway,

and the clothes crawling out her door-

Moonlight covers our House

and I hope she is safe and warm.

Its hours till she need awaken-

by that time I will be on the Ferry

seeking another shore.

I ask a Friend

to guide my Love

safely across Dreams Shores,

and when tonight

I will take my rest

under her wakefullness,

and breathe Welsh Air

into my blood

I will lightly feel a kiss.
