 “HELLO,  Mr. President?

Congratulations on being re-elected. Ah yes, very long Campaign.  I was actually Elected myself, as Governor of Washington State. You remember a Community Organizer with Actual Powers, as Governor Palin describes the Job. Oh little joke there, from one Blue, to another…

 Love what you’re doing with the smirks.  My People say your ratings are going through the roof.  Fantastic.    No, the State, remember Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Starbucks started here, no really. Seattle? The Evergreen State.  Yah well that’s partially why I’m calling. So Mr. President, it is a little awkward, as Governor I am supposed, sure I can hold.

Of course, don’t mention it, I am only one of 50 States.  The secessionists, yes it is disturbing. No it wasn’t Law Makers.., We have this Crazy System in WA, let’s Citizen Actually make Laws, and then the State’s People get to vote on it. No , yes it is rather Left of Center. Not sure where that came from, another Study? Yes it is rather unpredictable.  Well, see, we had a Vote, [and congratulations to everyone who won, condolences to those who lost] and seems the Majority, want Marijuana, to be not be so illegal. Yah well these votes.  Crazy thing.  Didn’t expect it.  In the end, the Police didn’t fight it, actually said they had more important things to go after.

  No one knows, the Law is 8 pages long.  Years.   Taxed and Regulated, similar to Alcohol.  Crazy Idea, even crazier, it passed.  Funny you ask, well half of the Taxes are going to Health Care for Low Income People.  I don’t really know, we have our share of the Tea Party.  That’s a good one, hadn’t thought of that.  They put the T in THC!  Well I did go to College.  Well, I can’t say exactly, a while.  Not everyday!   So I am in a bit of a Bind.  People actually want this Law to take effect,soon! December 6Th, near as we can guess.  It is 8 pages. No of course not, I’ll hold.

  Well as you know over 25%  of the Nation have voted for Medical Marijuana.  Yes, we realize Federal Law hasn’t change.  We aren’t alone, Colorado did too.  Yes they think the Ski Tourists especially marketable.  I used to Board myself.  Well like I said Mr. President, we are on the phone, yes, never know who might be, yes, I can hold.

  Oh I understand, well I want you to understand the rather complex nature of this Law, yes and there is the Border.  Well more than a Fifth of the Business at Trader Joe’s in Washington, is going into Canada. COSTCO too, very serious.  Yes the Canadians are an unpredictable, though Loyal Lot, yes, I find them to be.  Well since you ask, somewhat like Americans, perhaps a little more polite. Yes they do seem, a little more European.  No the driving thing, maybe it is the Metric System, sure, hadn’t thought of that, Drugs use Grams, Ounces, Pounds and Kilo’s, yes, that is Balanced.  Another Study?  Little joke…

No.  Well we don’t know what it will look like. 

Some are organizing  Midnight Masses for December 6 Th, using the Web.  Lot of Supporters. The Repeal of Prohibition ( it was the only amendment every repealed), it ended on December 5Th, and this new Law takes effect on the 6Th.  Yes we think Students may have been involved, yes, the dates seem to close to be coincidence, it could be Historic.
